Recap: Following post-race scoring adjustments, Tommy Bordeaux clinched a spot in the Fast Under Armour Cup Series Playoffs with his first win of the season in the Axalta 250 at Pocono. Bordeaux needed a bath following the race after sweating out 80 grueling laps at the tricky triangle that saw exactly half run under caution. The average speed of 105.446 MPH led to a nearly two-hour race, the longest such event of the season.
Ryan Pace bounced back from an early-race game crash to finish second for the second straight Cup race at Pocono. Randal Coleman finished third, tied for his best finish of the season. Cosmin Ioanesiu finished fourth, stretching the longest active top-five streak in the league to three races. Charles Coutts rounded out the top five with his best finish of the season after recovering from a crash on lap one.
Next week, FAST heads to Fulton for some dirt racing action in the Mud Slinger 250. Last season, Brandon Hawkin led every single lap in both ends of a doubleheader at the track.
